The Deerfield Energy Committee will meet Tuesday, January 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the George B. White Building to advance several initiatives focused on community engagement and local renewable energy efforts.
A primary item on the agenda is the preparation of a draft presentation for the town’s upcoming deliberative session, scheduled for January 31. Committee members are expected to review and refine key points that will be shared with residents to explain current projects and future plans related to energy and sustainability.
The committee will also discuss plans for a postcard mailing to Deerfield residents regarding a grant opportunity and a proposed solar project. The mailing is intended to raise awareness, provide basic information, and encourage public participation as the project moves forward.
Another major topic will be compiling a list of points to include in an article for Our Deerfield News. The article is expected to outline recent committee activities, highlight energy initiatives underway, and inform residents about ways to get involved.
The meeting will conclude with “other business,” allowing members to raise additional items or concerns not listed on the formal agenda.
The meeting is open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend to learn more about Deerfield’s energy projects and to share their input.
