Scenic Railriders located in Concord NH NEEDS YOUR URGENT HELP and SUPPORT!!

The tracks in Concord NH are being sold with plans to remove the rails. If they get sold and remove the rails that means that rail biking will no longer be possible in Concord NH and the Scenic Railriders would have to shut down operations.

The Scenic Railriders wants the public to write an email show support for the rail biking and email it to cityclerk@concordnh.gov

Here is the drafted email below!

Dear Mayor Champlin and The Members of the Concord City Council,

I would like to oppose the approval to purchase the railroad tracks from CSX unless it can become a RAIL WITH TRAIL Corridor. There should be no reason why this corridor cannot be a RAIL WITH TRAIL Corridor. The City of Concord would see more benefit from a RAIL WITH TRAIL here, as lease money from railbiking operation could help support maintenance of the corridor. There are also many other benefits of having a tourist attraction in town along with the jobs, recreation, and additional business it helps bring to the City.

We ask that you amend the purchase to keep this corridor a RAIL WITH TRAIL so that Concord can benefit from railbiking and walking/biking trails.
