5-Year-Old Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle in Loudon
A 5-year-old child who was struck by a vehicle in Loudon on Friday has died from her injuries, police confirmed to WRMK News 12 on Monday morning.
According to Loudon police, the incident occurred outside a residence on Chichester Road, where the child was hit by a car. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
Body Recovered from Merrimack River Following Overnight Search in Hooksett
Authorities recovered the body of a man from the Merrimack River in Hooksett on Sunday morning, concluding an extensive search that began the previous evening.
Officials said the search was launched shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday after reports that a man had accidentally fallen into the river from the railroad truss bridge near Riverside Street and Main Street. According to New Hampshire State Police, a witness observed the man struggling to stay afloat before he disappeared beneath the water.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including New Hampshire Fish and Game, Hooksett police and fire departments, and state police. Search efforts Saturday night involved boats, drones, and crews scanning the riverbanks and water with flashlights. Portions of the nearby railroad tracks were also cordoned off. The search was suspended overnight and resumed early Sunday.
At approximately 9:15 a.m., officials said the New Hampshire Fish and Game Dive Team located and recovered the body. The man was later identified as 25-year-old Jeremiah Willey of Allenstown.
State police said Willey’s death does not appear to be suspicious, though the incident remains under investigation.

Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation at Pelham Post Office
Police in Pelham responded to a bomb threat Sunday night at the Pelham Post Office, prompting the evacuation of a nearby shopping plaza.
According to officials, authorities received a report around 7:30 p.m. indicating a possible explosive device inside a mailbox located in front of the post office. As a precaution, all businesses within Pelham Plaza were evacuated and temporarily closed.
New Hampshire State Police and the Nashua Police Department assisted Pelham officers in investigating the threat.
After a search of the area, officials confirmed that no explosives were found. The plaza has since reopened to the public.
